  • Archaeological site Monte Verde: This is the oldest human settlement to be found in America. This places holds pieces of fur, food, tools, leafs and other things dated at 12,500 years. Other remains from Monte Verde are thought to be as much as 33,000 years old. Monte Verde is now calling into question the theories on human settlement in America. Trips to the site are made from Puerto Varas.
